She was taken to the shelter after the owner died — it was impossible to make out who she was under the layers of dirty and heavily matted fur. By a faint meow, the volunteers realized that an animal was hidden inside, and immediately began to inspect and help.
The veterinarians admitted that they had never seen such a neglected situation: the cat was covered with kilograms of matted fur, and it was not easy to shave this “bunch”. The procedure took about an hour; despite the possible pain, the animal behaved surprisingly calmly. After the haircut and treatment, a calm, affectionate four-year-old cat appeared in front of them.
All the formalities were completed in two days, and the animal moved to a new home. Now she feels much better, cheerful and playful — she has finally begun to live a full life, which she has been deprived of for many years.
