A little girl stood at the ice cream counter, shivering from the cold.
The saleswoman noticed that she wasn’t moving, just holding a few coins in her hand and saying nothing… 🥺

It happened in a small town on the outskirts.
On a cold autumn evening, an ice cream kiosk saleswoman noticed a girl of about six years old.
She was standing at the counter, holding a few coins in her palm and whispering quietly:
“Dad said he’d be back soon.”
At first, the woman thought that her father had just stepped away.
But time passed. Minutes turned into hours.

They took her to the station, where she repeated:

He just got in his car and drove away.
Later it turned out that he was not her father, but a man who had kidnapped her a week ago from a neighboring town.
And the girl, not knowing who to believe, believed all this time that he would come back for her.
