When Martin was undergoing rehabilitation at a medical center, volunteers from a charity organization brought him together with a helper dog named Gaby. A warm and trusting bond immediately arose between man and animal: Gabi not only helped with household details, but also became a real support in difficult moments of recovery.

The dog quickly became a source of confidence and emotional peace — Martin noted that the less often he needed to use a wheelchair, the more he appreciated Gaby’s help and presence in everyday life. Such animals are fixed next to humans for a long time, so it was important that their bond was really strong.

When the wedding day came, Martin did not want to be separated from his faithful friend, even at the ceremony. Instead of the usual role of a “ring holder” or just a guest, he decided to give Gaby a special place — a best man, so that the dog would accompany him at the most important moment and share the joy with him.

This story is a warm example of how service animals become part of the family and play a significant role not only in everyday life, but also in the most important events of life.
