In one of the national villages, residents walked around a large pit bull — the dog inspired fear, although in fact it was calm and hungry. One woman was not afraid: she petted the dog, gave him food and took him home, making a cozy place for sleeping on the veranda.
She named him Bass, fed him and told him about her life; a warm bond quickly developed between them, despite the warnings of relatives. In the summer, her daughter’s family came to visit the woman, and the children also fell in love with a new friend.
One day, while playing by the river, one of the boys fell into the water and could not get out. Hearing the screams, Bass did not hesitate to rush into the river and helped save the child. After that, the village talked for a long time about the dog’s devotion and bravery — an example of how good comes back with good.
