Photographer Kieran Dodds spent over seven years on a project that brought together redheads from all over the world. He was inspired by his native Scotland, a country with a particularly high number of redheads. This is how his journey began: he searched for people with fiery hair in different corners of the planet, from Russia to Jamaica and China, to show how diverse and beautiful this phenomenon is.

According to unofficial data, only about 2% of the world’s population has red hair. But Kieran is convinced that it’s not just about the color — redheads radiate a special energy and vitality. Despite differences in age, culture, and origin, all of his models are united by an elusive inner connection. Each photograph in his collection conveys this feeling of uniqueness and warmth.

Dodds compiled his work into a large series and published it on social media. He himself admits that being a redhead is both a joy and a challenge: “As a child, it seems magical, but at school it often attracts unwanted attention.” Nevertheless, his project has become a true declaration of love for all redheads — people in whom the sun seems to live in every hair.
