In 2009, the whole world was talking about Nadya Suleman, a woman from California who gave birth to octuplets. The media dubbed her “Octomom,” and the story instantly became a global sensation. At the time, Nadya was already raising six children on her own, and the 33-year-old single mother’s decision to undergo an extremely risky IVF procedure sparked a storm of criticism. It later emerged that her doctor had implanted 12 embryos in a single cycle, for which he later lost his license, while Nadya gained international fame and a lot of condemnation.

However, life after the birth of the octuplets turned out to be no fairy tale. The identity of the father remained a mystery, and raising 14 children without a stable income became a daily struggle. At first, the family lived on benefits and one-off offers from the media, but when interest in the story faded, Nadia was forced to take on any job she could find — including work in the adult industry, which sparked a new wave of condemnation. Debts mounted, her house was repossessed for a million-dollar debt, and the woman herself was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Over time, Suleman managed to get back on her feet. She underwent treatment, received training in caregiving, and now, according to reports, works with people with autism and helps women in difficult situations.
Today, her eldest son is 19, and the famous octuplets are about 12. In rare publications, 44-year-old Nadia shows peaceful family photos: smiling children, a calm atmosphere, and a woman who managed to withstand the pressure, keeping the chaos of her huge family under control.

Could you imagine raising 14 children on your own? What do you think about her journey?
