🖍️ Before New Year’s Eve, my son placed a letter under the Christmas tree.
I decided to read it before we sent it to Santa Claus.
The first lines mentioned toys and sweets. But at the end, I saw:
“Please make sure Mom doesn’t cry at night anymore.”
I held the letter to my chest and cried.

My son and I were writing a list of gifts for New Year’s.
When he said it was ready, I decided to take a peek at the letter.
There were cars, candy, books.
And at the bottom, he had neatly written:
“And I also want Mom to always smile and not cry at night.”
I sat by the Christmas tree and realized that children feel much more than we think.
And sometimes their simplest words pierce the heart the most.
