Little Luna Fennar from the United States was born with a rare giant nevus on her face, which posed not only an aesthetic threat but also a cancer risk. American doctors refused to treat her, predicting dozens of difficult operations.

The girl’s mother did not give up: she started a blog, gathered support from people around the world, and eventually traveled with Luna to Krasnodar, where doctors offered a gentle treatment method. The cost of the procedures was lower than in the US, but it was the help of caring and generous anonymous donors that made it possible to pay for the entire course of treatment.

Today, three-year-old Luna has already undergone eight operations, including the latest skin graft on her forehead and eyelids. Doctors note that the girl is recovering quickly and only cosmetic procedures await her in the future. Very soon, Luna will be able to return home to the United States.
