A kitten named Marlin is a true sea adventurer. He is only eight months old, but he already lives a life that many would dream of. Instead of a cozy sofa, he has a boat in the ocean, and instead of a bowl of dry food, he has fresh seafood. This ginger-colored resident of Wancase, North Carolina, loves to play on the beach with dogs and accompany his owners on sea voyages.
The cat’s owner, Caroline Jarvis, admitted that it’s never boring with Marlin: “He’s just crazy.” Together with her fiancé, fisherman Mac Hopkins, she often goes out to sea, and Marlin invariably goes with them. The cat is not afraid of waves or cars, because from the first months of his life he got used to traveling — including in his owner’s old Chevrolet.
Marlon’s particular passion is fresh shrimp, which he deftly steals from his owner right on board. His unusual habits and adventures have taken the internet by storm: Caroline’s Instagram account has thousands of followers eagerly awaiting new stories about “America’s most maritime cat.”
