The dispute over Château Miraval has reignited with renewed vigor: Brad Pitt has filed new court documents and is now demanding access to Angelina Jolie’s private correspondence. According to the actor, these messages may confirm that his ex-wife violated their unspoken agreement not to sell her share without his consent. In 2021, Jolie sold her share for $64 million to businessman Yuri Shefler, which marked the beginning of a long-running legal battle.

Pitt claims that the deal was made in violation of the agreement and without giving his company the right of first refusal. Moreover, he believes that representatives of the Stoli Group, led by Alexei Oleinik, actively participated in the negotiations and are now evading disclosure of documents that could clarify the situation. Oleynik himself states that as a resident of Switzerland, he is not obliged to participate in the proceedings initiated in California.

Since their separation in 2016, Angelina and Brad have been unable to resolve their property and personal conflicts. Jolie previously asked Pitt to withdraw the lawsuit for the sake of the children’s peace of mind, but insiders assure that the actor has no intention of backing down: he believes that the dispute should be resolved as a business matter, and that Jolie “too often mixes personal motives.” While the judge has yet to make a decision, the former spouses continue to battle it out in a dispute that involves business, emotions, and a long family history.
