Donna Simpson from the United States became famous for setting herself an unusual goal—to become the heaviest mother in the world. Her weight problems began in childhood: her family considered it normal to eat fatty and high-calorie foods, and her mother never considered obesity to be a problem. By the age of eight, Donna weighed 82 kilograms.

As an adult, she continued to gain weight rapidly, and after breaking up with her boyfriend and experiencing emotional stress, her weight reached 273 kilograms. Donna refused to undergo weight loss surgery, deciding to accept herself as she was.

Later, she began broadcasting on the internet, where she ate in front of the camera — viewers paid to watch. At one point, the woman set herself the goal of reaching a weight of 450 kilograms, but due to health problems and caring for her child, she gave up on this idea.

Donna’s story sparked controversy: for some, she became a symbol of self-acceptance, while for others, she was an example of dangerous disregard for health.
