When sisters Lupita and Carmen Andrade were born in Mexico, doctors did not give a promising prognosis. The girls were conjoined twins: their chests and part of their torsos were fused together, and they shared a liver and digestive and reproductive systems. However, each of them has her own heart, lungs, and arms.
Despite the difficult circumstances, the sisters managed to adapt and learn to live a full life. Today, 19-year-old Lupita and Carmen are active on Instagram, where they post photos from their everyday life. Recent photos of them in denim shorts and black T-shirts have earned them a flood of compliments from their followers.
The sisters are not limited to social media. They are already trying their hand at driving and regularly appear on television. According to them, this helps them become more independent and gradually break free from their dependence on their parents. In the future, the girls dream of becoming veterinarians.
Interestingly, a few years ago, doctors considered surgically separating the twins. However, the high risk of serious complications and possible fatalities forced them to abandon such a dangerous operation.
