In 1966, their paths crossed for the first time in a London gallery, and since then John Lennon and Yoko Ono have become one of the most iconic couples in pop culture history. Their extraordinary love inspired many, showing how deeply two people can be devoted to each other.

Not everyone knows that at that time Lennon already had a wife, Cynthia, and a son with her, but that did not stop the musician from having an affair with the Japanese artist. Lennon admitted that when he fell in love with Yoko, he realized: “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. It’s more than a hit song, more than gold, more than anything.”

The couple officially married in 1969 and a few years later had their only child, Sean Taro. Tragically, John was murdered in 1980, leaving the world in shock and mourning.

Yoko Ono now lives with the aid of a wheelchair and faces health problems. Despite this, many note that she has hardly changed in appearance, which only adds to her legendary image.
