The teacher arrived at school before everyone else and noticed that one of the students had been sitting in the classroom since early morning.
He was wearing the same clothes as yesterday, did not greet her, did not smile—he just sat there, staring out the window.
When she asked why he had come so early, the boy replied quietly:
“I didn’t leave.”
At first, the teacher thought it was a joke. But when she came closer, she saw that his eyes were red from crying and his hands were covered in scratches and bruises.
She called the principal, then social services.
And when they arrived at the boy’s home, all the adults at the school were stunned by what they saw. 😨
No one would have believed the truth about his family if it weren’t for the photos they found on the boy’s phone…

The teacher arrived at school earlier than usual — she needed to prepare the classroom for the morning lesson.
When she opened the door, someone was already sitting inside.
It was Georg, a quiet boy from the 5th grade.
He didn’t pay any attention to her, just stared out the window, hugging his backpack.
“Georg, why are you here so early?” she smiled.
The boy slowly turned and said,
“I didn’t leave.”
The teacher was confused. She came closer and immediately realized that something was wrong.
There were dark circles under his eyes, his lips were bitten, and his hands were scraped.
On the chair next to him was a half-eaten bun and a bottle of water.
She gently asked what had happened.
He lowered his head and replied quietly:
“I just… don’t want to go home.”
These words prompted her to call the principal and a social worker.
When they arrived at the boy’s home, no one answered the door for a long time.
Then a man came out, drunk, with a dull look in his eyes, and said:
“Take him away if you need him!”
The apartment was a mess.
Broken things, empty bottles, dirty clothes, and in the corner — a small bed without a sheet.
Later it turned out that the boy’s mother had left several months ago, and his father had taken to drinking and neglected the child completely.
Georg only ate at school and hid in the gym at night, where he was once locked in by mistake.
When the teacher heard this, she simply burst into tears.
Since then, she has helped to get the paperwork done, and the boy has been temporarily taken in by a foster family.
When she visited him a month later, he smiled for the first time and said:
“Now I’m not afraid to go home.”
