A Japanese family showed why a giant poodle became their baby’s best friend.

Photos of little Mame and her unusual nannies—three huge poodles—took the internet by storm a few years ago, sparking a wave of affection and positive emotions. Today, the page of the grandmother who takes all the photos has over half a million followers. But the most interesting thing is that the Japanese family has grown: Mame now has a brother, Mugi, and the poodles have to share their care between two babies.

The fluffy giants don’t just pose for photos — they actually act as nannies and guards. The poodles have become loyal friends to the children, and their soft fur and impressive size turn them into living toys. Mugi loves to use his four-legged companions as pillows, and Mame happily plays noisy games with them. It is this balance of strength and softness that makes poodles ideal companions for children.

Each of the poodles has its own special role. The eldest, thirteen-year-old Kuo, acts as the wise patriarch and keeps order. Eleven-year-old Riku is Mugi’s best friend, always ready for games and mischief. And the youngest, three-year-old Gaku, is the perfect partner for Mame when she needs to burn off energy.

This unusual “team of nannies” not only makes life easier for their parents and grandmother, but also continues to win the hearts of millions of Internet users. New photos of the children and their faithful poodles prove once again that the friendship between humans and dogs is truly magical.
